My bridals + wedding dress details!

Dec 17, 2012

In choosing my wedding gown, I knew I wanted a short dress with lace.
In my brain, I wanted a very specific pattern of lace (I absolutely love lace, but to me most laces look cheap)
While shopping in New York we looked at so many places and came up empty handed.
When we returned, my mom found Leanne Marshall's Etsy shop and I quickly fell in love with her Ellie dress (conveniently my sister, the Maid of Honor's name)
Leanne has major talent (after all, she did win Project Runway a while back) and her line of wedding gowns are truly one of a kind.
The only super large mega terrifying gamble was ordering a dress online without having ever tried it on.
So I bit the bullet and did it.
. . . and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect dress.
With no alterations necessary.
On the day my dress arrived, I contacted my photographer and she immediately asks if I was available that afternoon to do a session in the cotton fields of north Louisiana.
The cotton was supposed to start getting cut the next day, which left me with 5 hours to prepare.
Needless to say, I ended up doing my hair and makeup myself, and we improvised a bouquet with some cotton from the field.
I'm SO in love with my bridals.

I used to think that I wasn't a fan of lace, but your dress has changed mine. It's so gorgeous! And the cotton fields are the perfect backdrop for bridal photos.
